Why doesn't every site offer me that? If they know my name and send me email, they might as well offer me such an option. Of course, unless there is demand for it, management of most service providers will be difficult to convince to add this feature. What I don't understand is why open source web applications don't offer this by default. While it might not involve the whole feature set that PGP has to offer (web of trust, keyservers etc) this would be one of the real-world uses of PGP/GPG. Hell, even if you don't even sign the mails this is useful.
